Voice Over FAQ – Working With a Professional Voice Actor

Nice demos, but how do I know if you’re the right voice for my project?
That’s a fair question — and you’re right. Voice over demos give a general idea, but every project has its own tone, pace, and emotional nuance. Whether you’re looking for a Flemish voice over or an English one, it’s all about finding the right fit.
If your video or audio is ready, feel free to send it over. It gives me a better understanding of your brand’s tone and how I can match it.
Still working on the script? No problem. I’ll record a custom voice over sample in Flemish or English, based on your briefing — completely free and with no strings attached.
That way, you’ll hear exactly how my voice works on your content before making a decision. If it clicks, I’ll record the full voice over with that same clarity, flow, and intent.
Tailored, fast, and risk-free.

Can I introduce your voice to my client?
Absolutely. You can download my voice over demos or simply send your client a direct link to my website — whichever is easiest for you.
Want something more tailored? I’m happy to record a custom demo that fits your project’s tone and script, whether it’s in Flemish or English. It’s completely free and can really help your client decide faster.
Prefer working through an agent in the U.S.? I’m represented by VOX in Los Angeles and In Both Ears on the West Coast.

How fast will I get the voice over?
Usually very fast. In many cases, I can deliver your voice over within just a few hours.
To stay realistic, I generally say: within 24 hours. That gives me room to balance other projects without compromising quality. Your recording deserves focus — I don’t rush just to be fast.
Turnaround time depends on the length of your script and how full my recording schedule is that day. If it’s urgent, just let me know ahead of time — I can block time for you and confirm what’s feasible.
Either way, I’ll keep you updated and deliver as quickly as possible, without cutting corners.

I’m in a rush. Can you help?
Absolutely. Just get in touch and we’ll figure it out together. I respond quickly — usually right away.
Even if I’m working on other projects, I can often shift my schedule to make room for urgent voice over recordings. Let me know what you need, and I’ll give you a clear and realistic timeline.
If I can make it happen, I will.

How will I receive the voice over file?
You’ll receive your professional voice over recording via a secure cloud download link — no email attachment limits, no hassle. Just click, download, and you’re good to go.
I record in a fully equipped home studio with broadcast-quality sound. Unless you request something else, I deliver in WAV format (48 kHz, 24 bit), ideal for video, advertising, e-learning, and post-production.
Need a different format? No problem — I’ll adapt to your workflow.
Working with an editor or team? I can bring in a professional sound engineer during the session to handle editing in real time. That way, you get a polished result faster, with less back and forth.

Can I listen in or direct the recording live?
Yes, absolutely. If you’d like to listen in or direct the session live, we can easily schedule a call via Source-Connect, SessionLinkPro, Zoom, Google Meet, or any platform you prefer.
You’ll hear exactly what I’m recording — not through a phone next to a speaker, but directly from my studio setup, connected to my recording system.
I can also replay earlier takes while you’re on the line. That way, you can give real-time feedback and we can fine-tune instantly until it’s exactly right.
Perfect for commercials, videos, or any project where timing and nuance really matter.

What is the difference between International English and Flemish voice overs?
International English (Global English): A neutral, highly accessible style of English without heavy regional accents (UK, US, or Australian). It is designed for worldwide campaigns, e-learning, and corporate videos targeting an international audience.
Flemish (Belgian Dutch): My native tongue. I deliver authentic Flemish narration for Belgian TV, radio, corporate, and digital media, ranging from warm and conversational to corporate or high-energy.

What are your home studio specifications?
All recordings are produced in my custom Studiobricks One VO Edition booth, acoustically tuned by industry expert George Whittam.
With Sennheiser 416 and Neumann TLM 103 microphones, Universal Audio Apollo preamp, and an ultra-low noise floor, you get pristine, broadcast-quality audio ready for mixdown.

What is your revision policy?
Performance, tone, or pronunciation tweaks are included free of charge up to 30 days after delivery.
If script changes occur after the final recording has been delivered, a minor re-recording fee applies based on the amount of new text.
