Voice Over Blog: Tips, Tools & Insights from Serge De Marre

When Wolt+ launched their new campaign with none other than Owen Wilson, I didn’t get the full picture right away. In fact, I got almost no picture. The project came in without any creative briefing, no brand video reference, and zero mention of Owen. The only instruction: "deliver the voice over today". Oh, and "make it great." I guess there was no time for an NDA, or maybe videos weren't ready yet ;-)

A few weeks ago, I was the guest speaker at Cooper International, a monthly networking event for voice actors around the world. Hosted by Bernard Schaer (and named after his dog, Cooper), the event brings together professionals from every corner of the globe to connect, learn, and share their expertise. I was invited to talk about something that has become second nature to me over the years: how to nail auditions.
