This Flemish voice over for BiFi was a blast to record.

A great commercial needs timing, tone and a Flemish voice over that brings the right vibe.
Every now and then, a script lands in my inbox that immediately makes me smile. The BiFi commercial I recently voiced was exactly that. A bit of overacting, a mischievous twist, and a wink to the audience. Right up my alley.and a perfect example of how a Flemish voice over can add playful character and timing to a spot like this.
The concept? A padel match. (For US readers, think of it as a mix between tennis and Pickleball) One of the players suddenly drops to the ground, clutching his leg in pain. But the injury? Totally fake. He just wanted an excuse to sneak off the court and enjoy a BiFi snack.
My job as a Flemish voice actor was to match that cheeky energy with a quick, throwaway line at the end: “BiFi, secretly the tastiest.” It’s light. Ironic. And delivered in just the right tone to keep the whole thing feeling playful instead of forced.
I also voiced the baffled reaction of the other player, shouting in Flemish: “Wat doede gij nu?!” (That’s “What are you doing?!” in English, but with a solid regional punch.) It’s the kind of line that makes you smile as you say it. And as a Flemish voice actor, I loved every second of it.
What made the session extra fun was the live direction with the client and creative team. We worked together to find the perfect tone: sly but not cartoonish, understated but still funny.
In the behind-the-scenes video below, you’ll see me recording the session live in my studio. Yes, my hair may have been a mess… but the timing was on point.
BiFi gets it: the right voice can elevate a visual moment. A short line, when delivered just right, adds nuance, character, and humor. All in a matter of seconds. And that’s where I come in.
If you’re working on a commercial and need a professional Flemish voice actor who can add that subtle twist, that wink to the audience, or just bring your script to life with clarity and character, I’m here to help. My mic is always ready. And I promise not to sneak any snacks during the session. Well… no guarantees on that last part.
